Doctor, Doctor, Give me the News!

On Wednesday Austin had his second EGD to check on his esophagitis.  He has been on steroids for two months.  We received the good news that Austin's esophagus appears to be normal.  They took several biopsies, but once we receive those results we may be able to wean off of the steroids.  Austin did a great job and his only complaint was that he was hungry!  We are so thankful that everything appears to be better!  We had some fun while we waited!

Surprise! Happy 50th Birthday Dad/Peepaw!

On Saturday November 1st we had a surprise party for my Dad's 50th birthday!  We lured him to my house thinking that he was attending a costume party for Halloween ... and we had him surprised until he pulled in the driveway and saw some suspicious cars!  Dad came as a farmer (yeah, we know, not much of a stretch) and my Mom came as a patient, wearing a hospital gown (again, not much of a stretch).

Happy Halloween 2008

We took Optimus Prime and a beautiful pink poodle out and about on Halloween.  Elizabeth, I mean the poodle, loved her basket, wouldn't let go!  Austin, I mean Optimus Prime, enjoyed playing games at GAG (Great Alternative Gig) at our church.   He really excelled at the toilet bowl toss!

And the rest of vacation! (Days 2-6)

The rest of vacation was just as great as Day 1! It was so fun to watch Austin and Elizabeth. Austin came so far with his swimming in just one week. By the end of the week he was jumping in, going under water ... wow he is growing up! Elizabeth loved the beach and the piggie's (pigeon's) that would land on our balcony. How many days until we can go back?
