Saturday ... Snow & Santa

December 6 ,2008 006

Elizabeth was mesmerized by the snow!

December 6 ,2008 009

The first snow is so exciting!

December 6 ,2008 014

I think it took more time to get bundled up to go out than the time they spent playing in the snow!

Our visit with Santa was very anti-climactic.  I think I was more excited than the kids ... not one smile once we got there.  On the way home Austin became very upset because he realized that he only told Santa two things that  he wanted for Christmas and he said "Oh, no, I am only going to get two presents!"   Brayden calmed his fears by saying that they would make Christmas lists, and Santa would get everything on the list!

Oh Christmas Tree

Austin had been counting down the sleeps until we could put of the tree ... or as he calls it ... building the tree.   (Unfortunately we are not "real" tree people.  Our tree is only decorated on the top third.  After Elizabeth ate a couple of bulbs we decided to remove the decorations from the bottom two-thirds of the tree.  Elizabeth has also removed the tinsel from the bottom of the tree.   Austin had the great idea to hang the stockings on the light switches, but was upset we we told him the lights can stay on all of the time ... they have since been relocated!

Happy Thanksgiving 2008!

We started the day with a little of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, followed by some cooking.  We then went to Ryan's parents for lunch, home for naps, and then meet my parents at the Iron Skillet for dinner.  A great Thanksgiving!
